I Took thermostat housing out to replace broken part on it where a hose connected to it but I had to take the fuel line off to put new one in i know the fuel line is and was hooked back corectly but i keep smelling gas strongly randomly and excessively using gas and only thing i didnt do is push the emergency fuel shut off when i disconnected and reconnected the line could that fix my problem 1999 ford explorer xlt that was made beginning of 99 not made in 98
