I just replaced my radiator & thermostat and the temp gauge still only hits the lowest line in the normal range. Sometimes it moves up a little more to clear that line but it never gets near the word "Normal". As I replace the thermostat I saw that the local dealer installed the last one backwards.

Any Ideas why this thing is still running so cool?

Thanks

My guess is that it's the sending unit (right by the thermostat with a single wire coming off ot it). Ford has had a problem with them in several vehicles.

Thanks, i saw that there & reracked it (pulled off the lead saw that it was clean then reinstalled). Maybe I should look into testing it, I'm sure I could check it with a multi meter if I had the specs.
