I'm in the market for some new tires on my X. It's a 94 and I use it for regular driving. I had some Kelly tires put on about two years ago and they SUCK. Every since I've had them on my car it has pulled to the right. I've had to check my tire pressure every fill up, and I've had 4 flats! They are dry rotting so I'm getting some money because they are still under warranty. I need some tires that will drive nice and be able to perform in the snow (I live in Michigan). I heard from a friend that the Michelin Cross Terrain SUV tires were pretty good. Any suggestions?

Did those Dueller A/T affect your gas mileage that much? I like the looks of them, they do look aggressive.

I bought some Pirelli Scorpion A/T in the late fall and they are excellent! (stock size) They look pretty aggressive, but are quiet and smooth on roads. I do not do a lot of off road, but the little I did was impressive. They are great in the rain and very good in the snow too.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I wanted a tire that every other truck and suv out there did not have, plus I like Pirelli's anyway. Tires.com or Tirerack.com both have good info., even if you buy local, it is worth checking out. I bought from Tires.com and I was VERY pleased!

I have heard good things about Toyo and Michelin, but no first hand info.

If you stick mostly to the road or light offroading, I'd go with Michelins. LTX M&S are a great tire. If you want a little more aggressive, LTX AT's. Mine are Sears knockoffs of the M&S. They also sell knockoffs of AT's too. Michelins are pricey, but worth every penny IMO. Have 75K on mine, still good tread left and stick to the road rain/snow/sunshine.

I second TPLYNCH. Sounds like you don't need an AT tire at all.

I really want the aggressive look. Is it going to be that much louder?

I'll try and post pics of each of the tires suggested for you...

I can vouch for the scorpions performance in snow and mud, yet they still have great, quiet ride with good cornering/handling ability

The Cross Terrains have very good traction on the road. I'm not sure about offroad though. They are really quiet and ride nice. Although I like them, I won't be buying another set. They just happened to come on my car when I got it.

Thanks for all the help guys. I read reviews on all the tires suggested and decided to go with the Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo. I like the looks and the reviews. Plus I am getting them at wholesale! :) Thanks!
