New Tires????

Has anybody replaced the OEM tires????? I have 235/65 18 Mich's. They are almost gone at 36k. Looking at 265/65 18 for replacement. Does anybody have info on this replacement.

Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor
Fantastic tire, super quiet, great wet and dry traction. I have driven in sand, snow, and mud. This tire by far out performed all others i have tried in the past. TIRE RACK, is a great place to read reviews on tires. This tire is fairly new so you won't find many reviews on it but it is amazing

You will hear a lot of people say go with BFGoodrich All Terrains, or BFGoodrich REVOs, but i feel after having both of those tires on other vehicals that the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor is you best choice.

ha! Stocks on the 4th gen look great! I saw an Ex with them on a couple days back... no more tear drops or hard to reach places...

Yea, I still got the stock rims, Looks like FordxMan has the stock rims at 235/65 18. Same overall outside diameter, just different rim size. How ever i just looked on tire rack, no tires offered in all terrains. Looks like the best tire he can get is the Michelin Cross Terrain. That was the OEM tire on my EX, didn't like them very much so i got rid of them even with a lot of tread life left.

ha! busted, we have a lotta 18"+ rims in South OC. I try to take pics, but people don't take to kindly to that...

I was looking at the Bridgestone AT RH-S 265/65 18. I am ordering from TireRack on Monday 5/5/08. Keep thinking I should get the Goodyear Wrangler Slilent Armour. Will keep you posted as how this soap opera ends.

Trust me when i say you will love the goodyears. I drove over a nail last week and guess what happend. Nothing. I went to the tire shop to have the nail pulled out and it didn't even go through, in fact it was bent over with the point facing in. Yes folks that is right my tire bent a nail

I went with the white letters out, however i kindof wish that i had gone with the black letters out because they have already turned brown from the mud i have driven in. So i would say BLACK LETTERS OUT. Your Ex is black so the white letters will stand out a lot, and after having done it on my EX i think it looks bad, next set of tires i get will be black out.

::::Got them on!!! Wow they are so bad(good). My camera is out of juice and I cant find the power cord!!! I am in the middle of a DIVORCE ,as I find the camera cord I will take some PICS. These are the best , I just want to drive,drive, and drive. I am looking for the camera cord and as soon as I get a charge, you will see my Silent Armours. SC
