Hello all People can say what they want but I have owned an Explore of one type or another ever since I bought my first 1994 Eddie Bauer 4 dr. Black and Tan 4 x 4 with tan leather and I was married at the time and bought about the time we found out 2nd child on the way and for family vehicle went to the Expedition when 3rd child was in the oven a year later and at the time the Black and Tan was he Exploder to have lol ! I owned a used car dealership dealership and I was a Chevy Z-71 man and I bought a Ford Super Crew 2001 in 1999 ? Yep they could not wait to release the "New" shorter bed full size front half 4 dr. and I bought the 1st White with tan Leather Super Crew to hit the Northern 1/2 of GA with the butt uglt blue and tope side stripes and I added a gold and black and pealed the 4 x 4 decals that were under sized and added the same type decal except proper size Owned it a year and sold it back to the dealership for 2000 more than what I paid they were the hottest vehicle on the planet way back when

Well a divorce and actually being ran over by my own Ford base PU 1993 F-150 straight 6 cyl. long bed auto , A/C, in 2002 a $1000.00 work hoss !

Wife divorced me when I hot hurt in 2002 and almost died ! Since the 1994's came out I have owned every type of 2 dr or 4 dr from a 2 wd. base sport to a 1999 4 dr 4 x 4 white I did a poor man's lift on it added in Junk Yard leaf in the rear and screwed the front end up as far as possible with a cheap pair Of what I will call camber adjustments and they were the good ole days got 2 in. out of front and rear and cost less than $200.00 and a front end aligning Then added big fat Kumos and Monroe shocks and had one crisp clean looking white and tan 4 dr 4 x 4 that did not even look lifted and had no scrubbing + rode Great, well for a 4 x 4 Explorer One of my favorite ever and got 300 K miles out of it and drove it 2 years and did not loose a dime on it even including routine maintenance like oil changes

Currently own a 2001 Explorer Sport special order ? Not XLT or XLS whatever the top of the line was in 01 just a base 2 dr 4 x 4 sport Black and gray in my soon to be posted avatar and if I can will post a pic in this 1st thread and when I figure out how to ask questions in the proper section of this forum ? Got a fuel cap light that comes on and off whenever it chooses ? Also the rear leaf springs have lost their lift ? but I stole it vehicle ! Has 151 K on the miles never had any paint work and I no issues other than the check engine light that I feel is a manifold leak and the Fuel cap light comes on and off as it desires and the rear leafs have lost their lift ? Think I will just heat the and re arc them ? The Sport looks like it is on a Sport Trac frame and has every factory options offered from heated seat to a moon roof and leather seats with only less than normal wear and tear ? The previous owner added a Pioneer CD head unit 55 x watts and all the speakers are blown so going to see today what the 1997 parts Exploder I have will sound like of my invest in 2 pair of speakers ! Anyone know he size of front and the rear speakers !

Hello to all and I am OCD so I will be keeping this one since it gets 19 MPG while it is skipping sooooooo with the standard adjustable Chip and Ram cold air induction + headers and 3 in. duals out the rear Should own my 1st Explorer ever to get 24 MPG + or - a few MPG & this is a full grown heavy 4 x 4 ! See all of you Explorer and Ranger guys around I keep a parts Explorer and buy and sell them and Rangers ! Please feel free to pm me and offer up fixes and DIY Mods Going to strip the 1997 today Nerf bars, mirrors, seats, Wheels and new tires and pull the Trans. and eng next week and leave in the back and save for a few more sales that will need parts off of it and it has ice cold A/C it will part out for a lot more than I can sell it for and I can sell it stripped for $300.00 or all the goodies on it for $600.00 ? ? ? ? hmm which is more . . . lol

Well can't figure out pics right now ? Got to pull both doors panels today and repair Door Speakers and PW Door locks ! Someone has unlocked with slm jim or coat hanger and knocked the rods off the DL ? Got this amazing new 2001Explorer Sport to finish tweaking

thats a lot to read lol. i only skimmed but to your picture question you have to be an "elite" member to post pics. which is lke 20 bucks a year. its worth it for how much this forum will help you. but otherwise you have to make a photobucket, put your pics in there and then put the link in your post.
