Hello all! Im not new to explorers have a 96 and 97, and this forum has been a real help. The 96 has 83k miles and has only been rolled once, the body is done but has alot of useable parts including new tranny and running engine. The 97 has 225k miles and needs help. It runs but the frame is about rusted out ( thanks iowa's salt ). My question is what kind of problems can i expect to have changing the 97 body to the 96 frame? So far they seem the same, except for the air cleaner box. Second question, whould you trust and engine that has been upside down? After it was rolled i let it sit for a couple days and it fired right up, just smoked alot.
