2002 Sport Trac XLT
Just wanted to say hello to all forum members. I am new here and glad to see you have a large forum for all the Sport Trac Owners. I just bought a 2002 Sport Trac, 4x4 XLT i believe, its pretty well equipped. So far LOVE the vehicle, but want to start making it my own with new lights here and there etc. The previous owner was elderly, so the vehicle is MINT and all stock.

First question, how do i remove the map lights? I have tried everything short of vice grips and yanking the heck out of them.

Any help would be great.

Welcome aboard! Oh, and WATCH IT with that elderly stuff :nono:.......... not that I am elderly! LOL:D Mint and all stock IS GOOD! You don't have to un-do someone elses mods. :D

Check here for a bulb color change project. Shows the bulbs to be the twist-in bulb/socket combo like is in the instrument cluster. i didn't remember it that way but pictures are more reliable than my memory.

Ha! Nothing wrong with elderly, and if i remember correctly, you are the one that assisted me with my last question! So far so good.. replaced the fan belt and tensioner pully assembly. No more squeek! Great forums, knowledgeable people and great help! Thanks again.
