Hi, I am new to this forum and am glad I came across it!
I have a small problem that I wonder if anybody has run into. After reading many posts about the rough idle, intake gasket leaks, and other related problems, I want to start looking for a cause while doing maintenance. I have noticed that my '96 4.0 has a rough idle for about 30 seconds when I start it up warn. This is after I have drivin it and parked it for 15 to 30 minutes. It starts and runs great and idles smooth any other time. The explorer has 160k on the odo and mpg is steady at 20. I have owned it since new, and never had any problem (knock wood) with it.
Is this a real problem or just old age catching up with both of us?
Steve
