Seriously as always a extra set of hands would have helped. I did take my time to make sure it was right. Rears are real quick, just watch the tops studs as the have more exposure to rust or keep some extra 8mm bolts as there is still lots of threads even if you break them off. Fronts are a bit more of a wrestling match as alot more comes apart and you have to seperate ball joints, but this job is easily doable by most backyard mechanics with some time and metric tools, so dont let me scare you off.
I deceided to get the General Grabber AT2 265/70/18, I wanted the BFGS as Ive had good luck with them, but this was the best tall and not too wide comprimise that still had a agressive look to it.
Thanks, it was your review that led me too them, Id never seen them before that and they had the right size(I hope, lol), so we,ll give them a try. Did I mention 18,s are a pain for tire sizing, ha, I might have eh!
I finally got the tires on this weekend, so far so good a little noisier than before but similar to the BFG AT,s Ive had before, so not too bad. They are general grabber at,s 265/70/18, the rub a bit on the lower control arm but only if you crank it all the way over and are a bit tight at the front of the rear wheel well. I will either trim or heat up the plastic in this area to prevent this, no biggie really.
Tires look good, mine scrub when i turn completely too...so I just try to avoid it. By the way it must suck to still be in snow up there, its upper 70's - low 80's already down here!
Not sure whatyou mean by "big", it definatly sits alot higher and with the chin spoiler/valance gone it looks higher, or maybe its getting fat, lol. the amount of fuel it eats it should: Possibly its because I actually washed it before the pic.s, dont worry, that wont happen often, lol

Ya, I really got to crank it to get them to rub, so it shouldnt be too hard to avoid. The snow is disappearing fast the driveway is almost clear from the pic.s yesterday. Im a snowmobiler so Ive enjoyed the snow up till now, but its time for it to go away so I can get the bike out. Supposed to be 50-60 deg. for the next few days so its coming.
Thats likely the end of the major projects for now(Ive owned it less than a month), gonna put a couple more outlets in the front and will paint the grille or order a black one once the weather gets warmer, unless I think of something else
Good deal.
The "big" thing probably is from it being washed or maybe the white/black contrast with the snow. I could tell it was taller, and that made sense, but it really does look just all around "bigger" than a normal ST in those photos (even ignoring the ride height).

Ive heated up a manipulated the plastic in the rear wheel well where it was rubbing and all seems good now. I pretty happy with how its turned out so far, certainly doesn't look like any other 2nd gen ST around here.
One more pic. , snow is almost all gone now, damn near 60 deg. here yesterday
