I have been a long time reader, and now am going to try and become an active poster.
Primarily, I have been working with Car Audio for ten years now. Used to own a shop, but when business declined was forced to close it up and get a real job for a living.
Secondary, I have experience working with auto detailing and exterior body repair.
I have owned my Explorer for four years now. I have put 70,000 on it and am now up to a tota of 205k. So far, still have the original motor, transmission. Only non-rotable part I have had to replace has been the thermostat once about seven months ago.
I have had really good luck with the vehicle, and have had several oportunities to turn it in for something else, but have always come to the decision that since this one has not given me any major problems (Knock on wood), there is no reason to ever trade it for anything else.
I am now beginning a project to redo the little pieces of interior that have been craving attention of repair, and this is what will bring me to become and active poster on the site.
