New to the forum

so im new to the forum but not the explorer. i have had my 96 xlt for 3 years.she is currently a 4.0 dog-aumatic fully loaded spl machine. ive benn through many different ideas with my explorer , and situations. this thing doesnt stop in any condition and i love it. my current plans are to gey rid of the 4wd and setup with a 4.6 out of a crown vic. but i look around and there arent many 2wd's. so i wonder if i can take a 96 3.0 2wd ranger front end and fit it in my ex?
