Howdy all, I'm new to this forum although I have read a lot of threads on here through the years as I have built my last email explorers. I'm currently looking to change the 4.0 power plant in my 94. I'm thinking of putting a jetta TDI in it to up the gas mileage. I'm getting about 15 in the 4.0 I love my explorer but my f150 gets me 15mpg if I can get some milage gains in my explorer I'm more inclined to continue to use it as my hunting rig. It currently has 33 in tires, straight axle front end coil overs custom long arm in the front manual transmission locker in the rear. Nothing much but If I can get some better mpg I intend to add coil overs to the rear end and link it and up the tires to 35 maybe 37.
