New to the forums(seeking advice)

Hi, the name's Nick. New to the forums and to Ford. I just picked up a 5-speed 91 Explorer EB with 95k miles for $500. I must say the thing is immaculate for its age. A little rust here and there, needs a new rocker panel on the driver's side but everything else is recently serviced. I'm new to wheelin and was wondering where to start for a wheelin/dd rig. Also are there things that i should keep an eye out for that this particular model year has issues with? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to this forum! What's the build date? Check the label near the driver's side door.

thanks, the build date is March of 91'

still lookin to do an inexpensive lift enough to clear 32's or maybe 34's and to make it a little more off-road ready. any help?

If it is going to be a DD then don't go over a 32" tire and I really think that you need to regear to a 3.73 for the 32" tires and at least 4.10 for the 34" tires. Search over in the off road and tires and wheels forum to see what has been done. There are a lot of options for your rig, but to keep it driveable on the pavement don't get too drastic.
