tools i used:
IMAG0240.jpg

first start out by taking it out of the car
second take off the back plate
IMAG0237.jpg

remove factory staples
next mesure ur fabric with the shell
then tack along the straight edge as seen here (use 7mm stables and a strong staple gun mine had a hard time going though)
IMAG0013.jpg

now its time to work on the curves
tuck and over lap and when you get a flap tucked do this to make a slight slit
IMAG0235.jpg

make sure its not all bunched up on the edge then staple but watch out the shell you are attaching to is kind of britle so dont force to hard

Two questions.

1) Why does the 2nd picture from bottom show two lids? DId you buy a new lid?
2) From where you got the fabric?

looks like two of them but the top one is the old shell
at any fabric store was looking for leather but its expensive you could use anything you like but regular cloth fabric would just get dirty fast and hard to clean
thanks joe

$50 bucks at my local auto upulstery guy and I had a new leather cover.
