I am now the proud owner of a 98 XLT :-D

few small things to take care of,
drivers seat recline lever missing and the drivers door doesn't unlock with the key, remote works though so don't need it :-)

overall, I couldn't be happier

Well done mate, I hope you have years of happy motoring, dont fret about the problems you have, they are all reeally easy to fix- the seat adjuster has been re designed and the replacement is less likely to snag when getting out of the car, ( thats why they break off- mine did on my old xlt also). The door panels come off with only to screws to undoo from the inside, around the handle area then just lift off the door- it must be something silly like a loose fitting or bent wire.

Welcome to the forum and if you are up for it- we ar organising a uk meet,( see uk roundup thread). I realise it mat be too far for you so I hope you attend.

Post a few picks of the Explorer for us to see?!

incidentally, the driver's door lock might just need some WD40.... mine's a bit stiff from time to time...

nothing special really but shes mine :D

Parents business, I work for them doing the embroidery so figured as the Ex is distinctive enough to get some attention anyway, it made sense to stick some advertising on it so they can actually pay me occasionally :-)

Next Stage is to install a carputer and maybe have the rear windows tinted.

way this thing drinks though might have to take a look at an LPG conversion

ha, i can see it now, lifted and sitting on 35's and still has the ads on the side.
