Im here to learn a little more about my Explorer and to get sum tips and hopefully ideas on how to upgrade my car. I live in California im 18 and stuck in high school lol. But i have a better sound system then most but haven't gotten to hook it up yet do to countless wiring issues because of the Vast amount of wiring hidden within my explorer sport.. stock atm has premium sound system :/ created problems by having the wrong wiring harness :/

** 1997 ford explorer sport 2 door 2wheel drive v-6 4.0 sohc engine 205-225 hp
*premium sound system with factory amp and Dolby digital works

going to be in my car currently have, waiting for new wire harness
** 3 JL audio tens
**2 Dual 12's
** linear 450 stereo power amp. interfire 2500watt sub (3 tens amp).
power coustic 245 watt stereo amp. and Dual 580 amp for the dual 12's

1/0 gauge power wire, stinger circuit breaker to distribution block to amps , one extra fuse block for unfused linear amplifier 4gauge grounding cables 16gauge speaker wire...(might not wire speakers from actual speaker housing to amp', Probably by wire harness adapter for stock amp and rewire from there to the other amplifiers... Not sure yet tips comments on that if your whiling

** Things i would like to get**
1. i am looking to get a 4inch suspension lift or similar lift kit that wont ruin the smooth ride and make it still as comfortable
- i will be using 33in tires for the lift kit

2. Front Grill guard with full light extension (like the ramming device on the front of police cars)

3. Exoskeletal rear guard mounted from rear back of car (Rough rack area at the back of the car) down to the bumper as well as light extensions for the extra protection from: Stupid drivers, my own stupidity, and natures random changing of plans for me..

4.rough rack with 8 light mounts and a rough spare tire holder and jack holder

5. Any suggestions on new interior or ways to create and mount effective ding n dent side plates along my explorer



If you guys have any tips on what i can do for some of these things or no of reliable and affordable sites for these things or bah ha fender or other various items similar to these please be sure to let me know
