Greetings!
I've lurked for awhile but finally decided to get rid of the nag strip at the top telling me to introduce myself!
I got my first Explorer in Feb. 2003. It was a 2001 Explorer Sport 2 door with a 5 speed transmission and pretty much no options. Was cheap and a manual which was what was important to me.
A 16 year old decided to not yield and totaled my Explorer Sport. It all worked for the better though as I was able to take the insurance money and got a great deal on a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer V8 Premium.
I miss the 5 speed tranny, but love everything else in the Mountaineer.
