Not bought one yet!
Hey everyone! :)

Not bought my EX yet but just starting my resarch before I begin the hunt for a UK North Face model.

Currently have a BMW 735i, Nissan 200SX (Silvia) and a Saab 9-5 Aero to keep me busy but it's that Saab that I'll be replacing with the EX and I can't wait as I've been without a 4x4 since I sold my Range Rover two years ago.

Anyway, great forum and looking forward to making a contribution.

Cheers.

:uk:

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you! It's always great to see Explorer enthusiasts from across the pond. I'm really curious about the Ex that you are considering buying, is there a link to some pictures and specs for that particular model you can provide us?

Again, welcome and I hope you get as much help and information from this site as I have, I currently own two Ex's, a 1992 Sport 4x4 (my daily driver) and a 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer v8 (my wife's driver), and I can truley say that I love my trucks!

Thanks for the welcome!

Some info on the North Face here but info in general is very limited:

I guess you could look upon the North Face as a special edition that formed the top model here in the UK for 1999 through to 2001, which is when Ford stopped importing the ex to the UK. I believe the changes were just cosmetic and included some additional exterior colours, different alloy wheels and slightly better spec, including heated seats with memory.

Very cool, I like the same color grill and 16" wheels, its kind of like a mix between a USA Sport and a Limited.. what year are you planning on getting?
