Hello,

My name is Marc and I am in Greenville, South Carolina. I recently traded in one of my Mustangs and an Expedition for a 2004 Explorer XLT 4.0 4x4. Its a nice truck and the 4.0 is much better than the V6 in my buddies 96. I also own a 2004 Mustang Mach 1 in Azure Blue. I am an enthusiest and love to get the most out of engines....so how can I spruce this up? Who makes a good cold air intake? Any exhaust that isnt too loud but adds performance? I am sure an SCT tuner will juice it up as well...

Heres the pics

Wow....not much love here, huh?

Looks good, love the Azure Blue Machs!

Everybody likes your vehicles. Why do you feel this way?

Wasnt about the cars at all......just not alot of responses......no biggie. Was being more sarcastic than anything. :D

Welcome! Sweet Mustang!
Those 4.0's are great motors, but can I ask why you didn't go for the 4.6? Or did the dealer you go to not have any?

........and your username, MarauderMarc, don't tell me you had/sold a Maurauder!!:nono:

Nice 'Stang! Welcome sandlapper!

I love that picture of your mustang. I'm also a Mustang fan. I used to have a 1997 Ford Mustang base model and loved it. I traded it for my Explorer. Sometimes I miss having a mustang but I needed a explorer so I can go on hunting and fishing trips.

Oh yes, I know. I've had several P71 Interceptors and I love them .......... but I'd love a Marauder more!! The Vics were 4.6L SOHC's but the Marauder was 4.6L DOHC, as in Cobra motor.:burnout:

My wife's ride, but I'll take a Marauder any day!

Marauders are up just over 300 while the Interceptors are about 235. Of course measuring horsepower is like measuring your ...... uh, you know....... it depends on where you start. Different formulas, different RPM's, who knows what to believe. :)

Marauders are bucket seat, console w/gauges & shifter, delicious interior. I'm just too old and fat to crawl in and out of Mustangs gracefully, ha ha! Plus, when you're driving an Interceptor other motorists drive much better ;)

Gonna test drive a 2011 SHO Taurus though. The 365 hp @ 5,500 rpm; 350 ft lb of torque @ 3,500 rpm should be a blast!

It is based on the Merc Grand Marquis... 302HP/318TQ Using a lot of the same engine goodies as the Aviator and Marc's Mach 1... :)

The CV LX Sport was a 239HP model.

I'd rock one... For sure.

I like this vid- nice compilation, and I love the burnout at 2:20... :D

They are- when we got the chance with the SHOClub to drive it around the track with all 4 generations at Rotunda prior to the national intro, it was incredibly sweet...

Get a hold of Rick at Livernois Motorsports after you buy that SHO... ;)

You're saying "based", as in the platform which the Panther platform. A Grand Monkey ( of any recent vintage) never had any more power than a CV. Same vehicle except badging. The Interceptor is quite a bit different than a civi-CV or a G-Monk. The engine is the same but then things change a lot.

Edit: Boy that's a dirty trick Joe! :( I'd drop my Explorer in a flash for one of those!

One of the Departments I deliver to, Burlington NC, has 2 black Marauder cruisers.

In that vid there are a bunch of Marauder PI's shown- very cool. :)

Sorry Steve- I was in mid-edit then a truck showed up for a delivery...! :D
