Newbie to the Explorer World

Hi all,

I'm new to the Explorer world and purchased one recently as I needed the large boot space for my 3 Great Danes. I have had some early set backs and have so far spent more money on repairs than I have on the actual car purchase. I believe there will be more to do but I will not give up. I think the Explorer is a fantastic vehicle but I will need to sharpen my mechanical and technical knowledge or I will need to sell my kids and kidneys to keep up with the repair costs.

I look forward to the help of you all over the coming months and hopefully the knowledge I gain, I can pass on in the future.....

Hello Scott, and welcome, like you i have only just got my first Ex, had a couple of problems,1 water leak from sunroof drain(drain pipe had come off)fitted back on with two tie wraps holding pipe on both sides.2 Then a engine rattle that i first thought would be timing chains, but found a broken spark plug this morning, now runs spot on.
