Need help from anyone who has seen or experienced this problem before.
Last night on way home it started raining. Had my wipers on and after about a minute the washer fluid started spraying (not strong like normal) would not stop and didn't stop until it ran out. Noticed my dashboard lights for the ABS, Brake, And traction were on and all power was gone. It just completely shut down wasn't running. Pulled it off the road. Started back up fine but the wipers barely worked, washer fluid motor was still running. Drove home. my husband and neighbor started checking all fuses etc. Here is what is happening. First it starts and runs perfect. If I turn the headlights on, turn on left turn signal, turn on wipers, turn on AC it makes the dashboard lights come back on, kills the engine and you can hear the wiper fluid motor running. What makes it even stranger is the remote key, if I hit the lock button it just clicks under the hood, and if I hit the panic button it turns on the wiper fluid motor. So far I have two mechanics who are convinced it is the TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ( multifunction switch).
I am so afraid to spend $200 for just the part without knowing for sure that is the problem, I have only had it for 6 months. Only has 98000 miles and had a to have a transmission put in 8 weeks ago which cost me $2700. I am terrified of something major being wrong. Can anyone please give me your opinion? Thanks for helping me out
