Hello!
My name is Seth K. Pyle. I have been lurking here for awhile, and have now joined. I recently purchased a 1999 Explorer Limited 5.0 AWD with all the bells and whistles. It only has 115,000 on the clock, but is a little run down.
Here is what it needs now:
-complete brake system overhaul, from stem to stern
-upper ball joints
-tires (see above)
-tune up
-intermittent display on Mach audio system
Here is what I would like to do as time goes by:
-de-funk the interior, as it was last owned by a long time smoker
-replace CV axles, U-joints, front driveshaft CV joint, all for peace of mind
-R&R the injectors, have them ultrasonically cleaned
-change and flush all fluids
-have rear bumper lower panel repainted
-USA Spec PA11-Ford1 iPod interface module for Mach head unit
-Rockford Fosgate 6x8 3way speakers for the doors OR 6" component systems with 1" tweeters for the doors
-JL Audio 8" sub for factory sub box
-remote start
-SCT performance tuner
I am a long time gearhead, and work Industrial Maintenance as my real job. I will be doing most of the work myself, only farming out what is necessary.
In my lurking, I have found this forum to be a great source of reliable info. I am glad to be here.
