Hi
I have just recently brought a un unlimited 1997 explorer, best thing i ever brought.
It runs very well and doesn't use oil or water etc. this is important to me as i live in the desert area of Central Australia.
When i brought the car some idiot had lowered the front of the vehicle until the body was sitting on the rubber bump stops, Thats how i found this forum as i was looking for a way to raise the front and found it on these forums
The problems i have are
When you put the vehicle in reverse and move back the brakes or something seem to grab, its ok in drive etc only reverse
The ABS light comes on the dash a lot
the overdrive switch doesn't work and the light comes on in the dash, if you turn the engine off and then restart the light will go off. When the light is on the overdrive is off, you can see this by the revs
I'm sorry to be whinging about these small things but they are annoying especially when the rest of the vehicle is going so well

have you hooked up a scanner to see if there are any codes present?

not only check that they are plugged double check the connections being dirty and tug on the wires and make sure they are all the way in the connector mine did that a it was caused by a faulty connection due to corroision and one wire not pushed in the connector all the way

welcome
