Hi Guys
I've just bought a 1998 Ex (4.0L SOHC Auto) to act mostly as a tow car, and I've a problem that I would appreciate your advice with:
In 4x4 High or Low ratio, I get a loud clunking/banging coming from the nearside front wheel, when near/on right-hand full lock. It's OK when driving straight, but if you make a tight turn (like when turning into a driveway etc), then the clunking appears and the car shakes a bit
.
What do you think it could be, a C.V. joint problem?? A Ball Joint Problem? Front Transmission problem (if so, then why only when making tight turn?)
It drives fine in 2WD (Rear), and the noise doesn't exist when doing tight turns.
Any clues guys (and thanks in advance for your advice).
Cheers
Kenny
