Hi Gang ,
Just joined today I have a 94 Explorer XLT 4.0 v6 5 sp 4x4 with 172K miles. couple of questions ,
1 . when i run the a/c either on Max a/c or not it runs hot if i shut off the a/c it will cool down and run normal , Ive cleaned the front of the condensor so air is flowing thru , one thing i noticed i have a small leak in the radiator could that be part of the problem ??

2. My passenger side caliper is sticking and needs replaced . is it hard to bleed out the brakes haveing the abs system , Ive never had to do one on an ABS equipt car before.
3. My fuel gauge is a little off, for the good though ( showing i have less gas then i actually do ) , the guy i bought it from replaced the fuel pump last year and ever since then the gauge has been off . ??
4. also last year he replaced the clucth pressure plate and throwout bearing , Bleed the hydraulic system , the clutch pedal is somewhat Hard, with it having so many miles on it would it still be hard ?? the clutch has like 10K miles on it no slipping or anything ,

thanks :)

Thanks .. hard to believe that alot of peeps have overheating problems with the a/c on :o

Check your fan clutch. I had this same problem. When you run the A/C in town ( sit and idle ) the engine will try to overheat, but as soon as you turn the A/C off, it cools back down. The way to check this is by spinning your radiator fan ( with the engine off of course ), if it spins freely and has no resistance then its your fan clutch. If this isnt the problem, I have no clue.

Ok so i checked out the fan clutch and its Bad . Seeing this is my first car with a Clutch fan , can I just replace the Clutch or do i have to replace the whole unit, fan and all ??

Just the clutch as far as I know. You will need the correct tools for it. Most parts stores rent them out for free. Well....the local ones here do.
