Ok, for all you bay area explorer owners who want to meet up, but need some notice..

This one is for you! Post here, with a date/time when you feel you can meet, and we'll be there! :-) (location could be a good idea too.. Anyone for Coalinga?)

Hey Thomas,
Do you mean Clear Creek? I haven't been there myself, but hear it's prety good. Dead Link Removed The only thing you have to watch out for is the asbestos. They say it's all over the place.

KVO - suggest one, or how about May 13/14? Ray should be back from Moab, and we can all bounce all over to his place to watch the video/BBQ/going away party for Mac!

How about the 20th or 21st. I wiil be in San Diego on house hunting leave starting the 7th and could run the two together but the Admiral(wife) says too much for one week. I would like to head out to Coalinga since it would be a change from the norm.

Hey Ray,
The asbestos in Clear Creek is no bigge just don't drink the water. I have been riding dirt bikes there for years and had no probs. You mite want to bring gas though. If you guys want a scout just let me know I'll take my bike up there because my truck will not do much but pull my trailer. There are some cool things in Clear Creek that I know how to get to like the raidar towers and some hill climes and stuff like that, so let me know I would like to meet you guys and see your trucks.

David; no problemo. We'll just lump you in with Ray's truck. :-)

Really, all joking aside, we always make room for stock machines. You'd be suprised what a stock explorer can do!

Also, I'll probably have a buddy in tow, that's driving a different brand of 4x4.. and it's stock, so we'll have some photo ops! :-)

xr600 - that could be great! trying to find things to do for the modified can be difficult at times!

I'd like to hook up for a run. I think I can only go on moderate trails since the truck doesn't have a lift or big tires yet. But I would like to go on a run and meet everybody.

I kinda like the idea of having someone along that knows the area (even if we are chasing them.. hmm..)

So, I'd say the weekend of May 21/22 sounds best. Anyone have problems with that other than BAExploder?

Guff: come on down! We take any and all explorers with us (including them dang stuckers.. err, stockers!)

Who's doing the lift? My #1 tip for you - don't throw away the rear sway bar rods - burn out the rubber bushings, and use it on the front sway bar (that way, you don't have to use the front sway bar drop brackets). If your confused about it, let me know, and I can stop by and show you/the shop what I'm talking about. (I live in Oakland, work in Berkeley)
