next SF bay area run?

ba, I am leaving early to secure a camp site since I am the closest and taking the southerly route. My trailer is already full of firewood and a gas BBQ(bring your own meat and anyone is free to use it). I think xr600 said he would have room on his trailer for gas cans in an earlier post.

tdavis-thanks for the bushing delivery. I will be torn down and ready for install by the time you guys get there.

If you need to I know a good store in Hollister that I like to stop at and get some ribs for lunch that day. Let me know what you all think. P.S. congrads DCider on the new job. Dead Link Removed

Thanks for the Congrats! So far the job is great. Looks like my friend won't have his Jeep fixed in time, so it looks like he may drive down in his F250. That Park and Ride is litteraly around the corner from where I live, less than a quarter mile. I will probably get my fix at the coffee shop (St. James Coffee shop) next to Safeway and be there at the Park and Ride @ 8:00 with my friend. Can I offer to buy you a cup-o-joe/lead you down the path of the Dark Side? Dead Link Removed

Hey all, It looks like I will have a tag-along as well (my wife). Ba I will have tons of room because it looks like the other riders will be going down there friday night and will be at Indian camp, so I will have room for gas cans but it may come with a price (like maybe a gallon of gas for the bike on Sunday, please). DCider thanks for the offer but I will be good to go. The smell of coffee makes my wife ill, and I think Coalinga road will do that fine by its self. I am looking forword to this weekend and putting names to the faces. This will be a lot of fun. Dead Link Removed

Okay all, it looks like the group that was going up on Friday is not going now, instead two of them are coming up with me in their own truck. So DCider, I will have a red "toy" truck with two bikes in it with me as well. My wife and I are going to bring up spagetti makings for dinner and for breakfast I was going to make breakfast burritos. Dead Link Removed

It was great to meet new friends (Jim & wife, Tony & wife, David, and Tom) and see some old friends. Although, I must admit I did not expect the place to be that far. I had a great time, thanks to everyone. Hope you all had a great time b-b-q and camping Saturday night.

For anyone that want to see an Explorer climbing on a big ROCK - about the height of a VW Beetle and as big as an Excursion, you guys have gotta see Ji in action - That was spectacular. Ji - YOU'RE THE MAN!!! You made it look like it was a walk in the park. May be Kevin could get the video to Rick to put it on this site along with the trail report.

Kevin, I'd love to get a copy of the tape for my collection also if possible. I like to see how I did climbing up that big slippery hill. Let me know the duplication, shipping costs and I'll send it to you.

Ray - We miss you there.

The BFG AT/KOs are awesome, rocks, loose rocks, slippery surface, sand - no problem!!!

I took off the hubs to check the nuts and they were still tight after wheeling, cool. I got more war paints (aka scratches) on my Explorer after washing off the dirt, it looks pretty cool. The Mrs. gave up on the Explorer, so she doesn't say anything anymore. Tom busted his rear brake lense after coming down on the big ROCK.

David - Mild or WILD? Take your pick. You got to see the mildly modified (mine) to the wild (Kevin, Ji, and Tom) in action. May be next time, we'll see you with a lift.

Tony - There is a post in the FOR SALE forum on a winch mount bumper(?) check it out if you're interested.

Khoa.

You got to love the crowd that came out of nowhere when we tackled that rock.

Mac tried to get up on that rock sunday morning - no go, you need a locked front end to get on it, or lower air pressure in the tires.

Oh, and it got kinda crazy on sunday, when we tackled Goat Hill.. we had to stop, because it became nasty (ruts, loose fill, off-camber). lockers got Ji and me up the hill farther than mac.. so he filmed us going down!

I also bent the smittybilt winch bumper even more on Sunday.. and busted the winch cable! it's going to be fixed right. (the welding shop is going to love me!).

What else? Oh, got a check engine light when I was heading out - 172, right side too lean. Gues it means it's either a bad injector, fuel requlator, or the pump.

Had a load of fun guys! When's the next run, and where are we going?
