KVO, I got the coil spacers from superlift. I don't remember the part numbers, but there are two kinds and you will need both for anything over 1/2 inch. One type has a hex bolt hole and the other has a round hole. I needed two hex bolt holes for each side and then I stacked one round hole for a total of 3/4 inch.

Tom and especially bastucker, I will definately be there.

ba - yea, yea, yea..

The navajo will be slowly dealt with in the next few weeks. I have to go out of town next week - so I've got other problems to deal with. I think I'm losing/lost the wheel bearing on the passenger side - yes, the one with the blown hub.

Driver's side front tire is slowly also going flat - so I'll be calling 4 Wheel Parts tomorrow to see what they can do about it. (and I have to dig up the receipt for it all)

Some pics will be up tomorrow too - in the usual place, I'll post where it's at. Includes a few of the truck on it's side.. Again.

Later!

Hey guys my wife Heather said I can put a prerunner kit on my truck, what do you think? :)

Mac I got the video and it is cool. Thanks so much.:)

Hey guys,

I live in SF and never been to Hollister Hills before, can I get a copy of the video... I would like to see how your Explorers did on the trails and also how Hollister looks like. Who ever can get me the video, just email me with an address and amount for the tape so I can send the check.

Thanks... Ed

BTW, how did all the stock Explorers do on the trails?

HI Ed,
We do just fine. You would be suprised at what a stock Explorer can do. Next time we go, we'll give you a holler and see if you want to go. :)

91explorer,i live in daly city and have a stock 91 xlt. i have been to hollister many times and other than a ground clearance problem i can do just fine. read the post " tank trap" there is pics from the trips we took at hollister there.keep in touch and well be doin another trip sometime hopfully you can join us.

Ed - if you've got time this weekend, we are going up to the Sierras. You can come along with us, and see for yourself how well a stock Explorer runs!

Is this going to be a overnight or one day thing? And where exactly in the Sierras? Not the Rubicon right? Saturday or Sunday?

Oh, can I run if I have street tires that are not at all agressive?

91 explorer? if ya dont mind where in the city do you work or should i say what part? i,m at 7th@ harrison. any way depending on how loose the ground is you may just spin your wheels alittle more to get around. and it,s goin to be an over night trip. i will meet tom somewhere off i 580,if ya want to hook up let me know i could meet ya off 7th and then just jump back on the bridge we could caravan to meet tom.

ed - check out the 'sierra run' thread in this category.

We are planning two days - you are free to come up for just one day, ride along, and then head on home, if you fear hurting your truck too much.

Later!

baexplorer,

I just quit my job but I live right off of Silver Ave. off 101 just south of you a little. If I can go, I can meet up with you at 7th & Harrison.

I will let all of you guys know if I can make it, gotta ask the wife plus I have a job interview today.

Thanks for the invite....
