Nice to drive a ford again!

New guy here. I just SCORED a '97 Mountaineer for $250 because the guy that owned it said it would'nt start. turns out that the battery was JUNK. Sort of felt guilty when I drove off, but only for maybe a mile or so. after driving a chevy for 2yrs, I'm thrilled to be back in a Ford! So, I figure I'll be a daily user of this site. Nice to be a part of a community that does'nt think a 4.3 Vortec is anything more than a good boat anchor.

awesome!i bought my 97 explorer for $350.00 but i had to rering the 5.0.im not crazy about the awd but that can be rectified thanks to the informative threads in this forum!ive had lots of other vehicles in the past but i always seem to come back to fords!they do require a bit more knowledge than chevys but fords are steeped with innovation and originality.people dog fords real hard where i live but ill put mine up against any of theirs!
