I plugged in my scanner today into my ECU to do a "State OBD Test" and found that 8 of my emissions monitors were on and "ok" and 3 came up "N/A". Is this good enough to pass NJ state inspection? My Mustang on the other hand needs 10 out of 11 emissions monitors to be on and "ok". I'm jumping the gun here, but I want to make sure I can pass NJ state inspection in March 2012. Right now, I have no "check engine" light on.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

wich of your explorers was it?

what reader were you using?

if they come up n/a then i would take that as not applicable, and you should be fine as your truck cant monitor whatever that was (ie air pump as there is none, etc)

as long as you dont have any not ready or faild's you should be ok

This is for the '03 V8 Explorer. The '97 was sold last year. I'll have to check the scanner brand I have. But most importantly, I want to know if 8 is the correct number of monitors that should be on in my Explorer. If I'm missing any, I just want to ensure it's on.
