no 4 lo

I have a job 1 4wd ST and have no 4 lo, I just put a new selector motor on the transfer case and still does not work. I was told that was my problem at the dealer put I think he was shooting from the hip. I can hear the relay click near the pass air bag when it goes 4 hi but nothing going 4 lo. Is there something else I need to check? I did several searches and have not found much. TIA David

Well, I just have to ask...

You do know that to go to 4lo you have to have the transmission in Neutral and your foot on the brake before it will change from 4hi to 4lo, right?

Yes, I did check the owners manual before posting. My other Explorers have had 2wd or manual transfer cases. I tried it several times again today and it went in once and I did not think it was going to come back out. I wish I had my manual transfer cases again. Thansk for the input.

I believe there is a GEM module in the dash too. Maybe it's not reading the signals for the brake or gear selector like it should.
