I have an issue with the push button start. It starts without pressing the brake pedal so I cannot access accessory mode (I am trying to relearn the TPMS). Any suggestions as to why it now goes directly to start without the brake pedal being pressed?

Welcome to the Forum.
I don't recall reading about a similar issue with the starting. mguy13sport has a good suggestion.
I believe there are posts here that mention that the TPMS will do a relearn on their own after driving. I've never had to do that since the dealership does it for me when I swap out wheels/tires.

New tires and OEM TPMS installed, have driven over 100 miles now and no relearn. I refuse to go to the dealer as one issue gets corrected and others magically appear! I don’t understand how the start function without the brake being pressed just happened.

No codes….
Perhaps it is just a matter of a sticking brake pedal switch. I don't know how readily accessible they are to check out.
As for the TPMS, one knowledgeable member stated the 2016-2019 Explorers should be capable of a self-relearn provided the correct TPMS sensors were installed. The sensors used in the 2011-15 EXplorers won't work.

Are you scanning for DTC using ForScan? I would imagine there is SOME data in the DTC history logs that will point you in the right direction. Otherwise you may be experiencing electrical gremlins...
