I think I'm missing something here... Aren't you taking your explorer up there??? If you need a ride you're more than welcome to ride up there with us... Or if you just want to caravan we can do that too..

Yeah, I realize now that I made that last post very weird. I was talking a caravan. And that way, maybe I could catch a tank of gas for you if you'd like. Also, I don't really know how to get there. I was planning on going up there on saturday morning, so I could avoid having to spend another night at the hotel. 170 for two nights is getting a bit pricy for me. If you were planning on going up at another time, I'm sure arrangements could be made.

I'm planning on going up on Friday during the day... Are you sharing a room with someone or getting your own??? I know there are still people looking to share and that could cut down on costs...

I guess I could cancel a night at the hotel and drive up Saturday morning with you... But we'd have to leave hella early... Probably meet up with Joe and leave at like 4 AM so that we could make sure and make it to the rally point in time... But I'd still rather drive up on Friday if you can swing it...
 






Yeah, I guess I could ride out there on Friday night. I would split the room with someone, but I have a....uh....friend coming along ;):D ;) But yeah, lemme know when you want to leave, and I'll join you. The only problem is I don't get off of work until 7. I'll have to pack up all my stuff on Thursday night, which will make it hard to party :cool: Anyways, if you'd like, gimme an e-mail and we can hammer out a time. Also, if anyone reading this does in fact have a room and they need a second, my friend might not come, which I'll know by tonight or tomorrow, and I'll share with anyone that wants to.

Are you saying that you don't get off until 7 PM on friday??? Ouch that would suck... I'm hoping to head up around noon... but I'll be happy to e-mail you some directions and stuff so that we can make sure that you get there okay...
 






Might or might not, we'll see I guess. Anyways, I guess I'll just meet you up there, but if you'd like a little bit of money, or a free tank, stop by Boulder and I got ya covered :)
 






Now is it just me or do you think it would be a bit out of the way to drive a gas hog to boulder for a tank of gas??? Maybe I'm just crazy... Actually if you don't mind hooking me up with a tank on Sunday morning before we head out for the trails that would be cool...
 






Hee hee hee. I knew that was gonna happen. I just wanted to say it to see what kind of response I got from a bunch of gas-swallowing off-roading vehicle drivers. But yeah, Sunday morning will work fine.

BTW, how long does it take to get there from here?
 












Not sure about the other Coloradoians, but we are leaving Friday evening. We hope to leave around 6:00 if all goes well.
That will put us in Denver around 7:15 P.M. so if anyone sees a "Purple" Explorer that more then likely will be us.
The CB will be on CH19

I forgot to say, we go up the hills pretty slow, but come down pretty fast.
Just put it in neutral and down we go. Can't believe you have to give it gas to go down hill in drive. :D

Hey this is the first time I have seen this post, in the next day or so I will be finding out alot about my weekend, like wheather or not Shandell comes if I am single still together dead or whatever, but I will be going one way or another, and I do have an extra bed either way but alos if she comes there will be a crying baby part of the night! Well I will try to watch this a little closer and let me know what happens if SHandell comes we will stay in Springs Thursday night, and then head up Friday I was hoping to catch up with you at some point and follow you to Silverthorn, well email me and let me know the details on if you are coming or not, and when I will try to help you out as much as I can, although I understand the $$$$ part of the deal!!!! Also I wanna know what happened with Tara, so EMAIL me and I will talk to you soon! Tell tara hello and to keep her spirits high there are millions of other jobs in Denver, at least thats what you told me!!!
 






TwoToneFordExpl: I wanted to jump in here and let you know that, if you were planning to stay at the Quality Inn with the rest of us, $170 for two nights is not correct!!!

I was able to arrange a special group rate for us at the Quality Inn - $60/night. You probably joined this thread too late to see that, but heck, that saves you $50 right there! When you call to change this, ask for Anna (or anyone should be able to help) and be sure to say you're with the Ford Explorer Off-Road Group. If you have any problems, let me know either here or via PM. :)

Thanks to Chris, I now have two nights of hotel accomidations for much much cheaper. I owe ya!

(btw, if you read this, I'm gonna drive up Friday night instead, since it's cheaper)
 






Perhaps you'd consider joining us for the group dinner now? We'd love to have everyone attend if they can - should be a fun night! :D

BTW, Heath and I set it up so you don't have to eat if you don't want to - just buy a couple drinks and enjoy the fellowship of the group... ;)

Hey Jared if you weren't helping me with gas at all would you be able to swing going to the group dinner??? I think it will prove to be a lot of fun... Its about more than just the food... Its the comrodery (sp) and the group of FRIENDS that has made it possible for me to go to CCR this year!!!
