Just picked up a free 06 ranger xlt auto with a broken timing chain. Swapped out the engine and now the she wont turn over. Engine came with a harness which looked like it was in good condition although one of the connectors at the very end was crushed so I replaced it with the original conector. Everything else plugged in fine except the left after cat o2 had a different connector. I only have one key and I have no way of contacting the original owner. Battery was dead for a year also.
Pcm has power, opened pcm nothing is burnt, checked all fuses. Will check again if someine can tell me which one runs the pats. Dont know if the neutral switch is working properly but it will shift into 4low. Rear door latches are screwed up so door ajar light stays on. Check engine light stays on 4x4 and 4x4 low turn on when trying to crank then go back out. Can connect a cheap obd2 reader, links and doesnt show and codes
Should I replace the pcm? Is there a pcm without pats that will work. Pats module? Short sensor?
I will give whoever can figure this out $100
