 First trip with the new Explorer and it has died. All the dashboard lights went out. Car still runs, we have wipres and head lights. Anyone heard of this happening. Car had less than 600 miles on it and we had to leave it our of state at the dealership.

Well, that's no fun. Hope it get fixed up quick.

i had the same problem when i first got my X. it turned out to be the headlight switch. you can get a replacement at autozone for under twenty bucks. then just youtube how to take apart your dash if you dont already know how to do it, and put the new switch in. while i was at it, i switched out all of my instrument panel lights (some were burned out) with fresh bright bulbs. since youre gonna be taking apart the dash, its worth doing and only costs a few bucks. before you go to this length though, try checking your fuses and all the other basic stuff. good luck!

Fixed, We hope!

Well it turned out to be the entire cluster that was bad. The dealership ordered a new cluster and has installed it. :) We pick our Explorer up on Thursday. Hope all goes well on the drive back home..500+ miles.
