I posted in the 95-01 thread becaue i didnt know that this one existed. So i guess im double posting and someone will eliminate the otherone.

Anyways i wakeup this morning to no heat, no nothing. It does not blow at all and does not turn on at all. I guessing this is a problem with the blower motor? Because everything else works i am assuming that no fuses are blown. I have on order a blower motor from a local salvage yard and it will be installed tomorrow and hopefully that will solve the problem.

But what else could this be if it turns out that it is not the blower motor? WHen i turn the fan speed all the way up all i hear is what i think is a click and that is it, and everythign else is dead silent except for the sound of the engine.

It was working fine yesterday so i dont really know why it would just all of a sudden die? I heard that you can try taping on the blower motor to see if you can get it to "jump start" it, so ill try that when i head out to work and see if i can get it going that way.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have replaced the alternator and battery witnin the last month because my previous alternator died, and the cheap one that i have now is dieing and is getting replaced tomorrow with a new one (when i am idleing the battery meter will go almost all the way down).

So what do you guys think?

Thanks for any help!

Ive got a similar problem. My heater crapped out or something. Ive got a '93 Explorer 4x4 on-the-fly. I went to pick someone up, it was like 39 degrees here in Atlanta, and all of a sudden the heater just cut itself all the way on, (I had it on halfway) blew for a while, I couldnt get it to turn off. I finally just got home and cut the truck off, and then, later, I got back in to see what the hell was wrong with it, and I got it cut off, now, it wont cut on. I turn the control, nothing, no clicking, no noise but the engine. And after I got it cut off, I think Ive noticed a drop of my RPMs. Not too sure though. Anybody know what I should do?

i have found if tap on it it starts to work fine, but i have to do that every time i start the vehicle. So im getting it replaced today.

Tap on what exactly. Something under the hood? Or the dash? I love my truck, but it seems like everytime I turn around its something else freaking broke. I just had to fix my flash to pass lights and my blinker fuse.

yah, i just tapped on the blower motor, its on the passenger side right up close to the firewall under the hood, just tap on it really lightly and it should start moving.

Tell me about it, lets see, we got the tranny rebuilt, then replaced the alternator with a used one, now i have to replace the alternator again with a reman'ed one and had to get a new battery and now the blower motor went out! lol.... ill tell yah!

Yeah I know it. Ill try that, I just went out and could feel just the barest warm air coming out of the vents, but no blower. I just remember that a month or two ago I heard a loud clicking sound coming out of it when I had the heat on. Do you know where the fuse is for the motor? Im hoping its just a blow fuse that I can replace.
