I've searched all over this site and everybody seems to have problems with interior lights sticking on. I like to be different!

I don't have any interior lights or door ajar light with the rear hatch (or glass only) open. All of the other doors work. I had the rear hatch cover off and both switches in the latches look fine. (Plus it's unlikely that both would die, don't you think?) I chased the wires up into the headliner but I don't know where they go from there -- would rather not tear the ceiling out to find it.

Hasn't worked since I bought it in January. 97 xl 4dr 68k miles - everything else works.

Any Ideas?

Did you disconect the switchs and try ringing them out?

I didn't do anything to test specifically the switches. I pulled the wires from them and jumpered accross them to close the circuit - nothing. I assume the switches are fine, but there is no juice, i.e. nothing for them to switch.

Sorry, I think a wiring diagram would be a huge help
