I switched my ‘15 Explorer Sport front turn signal & side marker lights (amber) to LEDs.
They’ve been working for about. 7 years with some intermittent bulb replacement.
All of a sudden my right side marker light bulb was out. I replaced with new bulb…it didn’t light up. Whether in park or driving, with headlights on and off.
I tried 3 different bulbs w/o any difference. I haven’t put a voltmeter to the socket yet, but clearly there is no power.
I haven’t researched if EACH turn & marker lights have their own fuse, but highly doubt that.
Now I have to share about a year after buying this new, I converted the horrible yellow halogen projector headlights to HID with ballasts/etc.
I’m wondering if the ballast on the right side has malfunctioned as the side marker and turn signal are powered through this ballast. But the turn signal still works perfectly. Whew!
Thoughts/suggestions??
Thanks ahead of time.
