No skip cd players???

is there any good cd players or brands out there that are real good with non-skipping? i have an alpine now that s about 2 years old, and i paid about $400 for it and it seems to skip over every bump i hit. i want a real good shock resistant cd player. thanks for any suggestions.

I've had 2 pioneer HU and both have not skipped unless I hit something big - the most important part is to make sure the unit is installed well.

u could get a good disc changer and hook it up to your head unit. I ve had my changer for like 5 years and i don't think its ever skipped even off road.

Yup, the HU is only as good as it's installation.

I have a Pioneer and never have had it skip.

I have a Pioneer 12 disc changer, and the worst it has ever done is to "mute" itself if I hit a really sharp bump while it was playing.

Even so, I'm going to take it out because I have an iPod now. Instead of bringing 12 CDs, I can bring my iPod with over 190 CD's (2700+ songs).
