My steering pump went on the weekend its $135.00 from a rebuilt one and $25.00 for a rebuild kit. My question is how hard is it to rebuild a steering pump. And how hard is it to replace?

Any help would be great

I recomend the rebuilt pump. The "kit" is usually more of a reseal kit (to fix leaking pumps) than a true rebuild kit, either way you will need a special puller to remove the pulley.

What style pump?

I have a pump from a '98 that I'll sell ya $50.

It's the type with the reservoir off to the side.

Please let me know.

Jon

Pulley

No puller needed for this pump's pulley - three bolts.

you can also rent pulleys if neccessary from autozone
