No TC lockup or 4th gear

Hello,

Ive been trying to trouble shoot this problem for some time. I have a 1994 explorer, stock.

I pulled the codes today and got
koer 122 and 214
koeo 122 998.

I replaced the TC sensor (122 code) and now that is gone, the 214 is still there.

regardless im not getting any 600 series codes which would indicate transmission issues.

When im driving down the highway, im revving at about 3600 rpm when doing 75mph, which I think indicates in in D not OD. Also im getting about 11 or 12 mpg.

if anyone could chime in with any information, i would greatly appreciate it.

3-4 shift and TCC lockup are electronically controlled on your A4LD. When both are missing, my first thought is that something has become disconnected causing the solenoids to not have power (they share a common power supply and are ground side switched -- a wiring diagram will help explain). So my first suggestion is to go through the wiring and make sure the solenoids are getting power.
