Grab a voltmeter and double check that you are getting good voltage back to the battery when running. I don't know how involved your red gauges (misspelled in your sig) or other mods but could you have left out a bulb or have a bad burnt bulb? Does the "Check Gauge" light up on key cycles?

omg, the spelling police are on the scene... but he's right. you need to check the voltage at your battery with the vehicle running/accessories off. you should see about 13.6 volts if your charging system is working properly. anytime the red charge light is on, your alternator is not charging and you're running off your battery.

koda, sorry if you think I'm trying to police spelling or grammar. Just trying to give information, they may want to know they may not. In regular posts I wouldn't acknowledge, but if noticed in a sig, I will. I just read his sig and noticed he had gauge mods listed. If I were to walk out of my house with my zipper down, hopefully someone would let me know. Thanks, for adding helpful information about specific voltages, I didn't have my FSM handy.

I also see that he has a Westin Brush Guard I have to find some pics of this ride now.

well my car died on me so i guess its my alternator. the gauges were just the paint nothing to do with the bulbs but oddly the bulb were the battery gauge is out, lol. I wasnt getting anything when checked with a volt meter, i ran three day like that though, with the battery gauge in the red and the check gauge light wasnt on. Had HIDs, heater, subs and everything going. Imma get it off soon and get it checked and if it is bad imma upgrade to a larger one.

I ordered the 200amp alt from mralternator today and hoping i get it soon. Im also hoping its red like i seen on some other post.
