Noise in the front end.

Just purchase a 2001 Explorer xlt and the front end creaks/pops after driving it several miles. You can feel the popping in the steering but not really annoying yet. Got grease fittings on lower ball joints. Is there something else I need to be looking for grease etc...? Shocks look like they need replacing and that was where I was going next. Also replaced stabilizer links as one was broken. The popping is more prominent turning to the left.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Check the bushings, wheel bearings, and tie rods.

I had the same issue and it turned out being the wheel bearing; easy fix.
