Its been getting worse it seems before it would happen once in a while.
Not sure if these two are related but this is what is happening.
1) Sometimes I put it in reverse from the parked position to back out of driveway I hear a thud or clank as soon as i put it in reverse.
2) This seems to be happening more. Before coming to stop when pressing the brakes there is a noise almost similiar to #1 noise. My only guess is that when the trans is downshifting there is something loose maybe a u-joint or something else.
Its a 4x4 EB sohc w/166,000 miles, original owner. I dont tow anything rarely go to the snow anymore. I have changed the tranny/diff oil twice.
please help as this is the only way I get to work since my bike died- stator/generator problem
and I want to make sure x lasts longer
