Hey guys, just wanted to say hey. I don't actually own an Explorer, my wife does however. I have an 07 350Z, she has an 04 XLT (I think). Just registering to say hi and look for more info on her truck.

So far all I have done is add a K&N filter, swap out the plugs and wires and add a DVD head unit. Looking into a few small other mods like exhaust, speakers and am dying to find a shorty antenna that will fit.

Anyway here are some pics..........

welcome and nice x and z u got there

Welcome !

Thanks guys. I look forward to adding an exhaust soon to the Ford. I would love to get it to handle like a car, but lowering, sway bars and sticky tires would only take away from the idea of a SUV. But any tips on quick/easy/cheap mods that can add a little power to the Explorer would be greatly appreciated.

PS - yeah I know the standard......search, lol.

Welcome To The Forum! The explorer looks pretty good condition. And nice car.

^^Thanks man.

The Explorer is in decent shape, it cleans up nice. Sadly I can't say I enjoy cleaning it, it's big..........which is why I have a small car. Gonna toss on a Flowmaster 40 series and tip, maybe change the speakers, but other than that, Ford did okay.....for what it is.

nice X but Y the Z?

hah.. hhah.... hah

Sorry. Had to.. Welcome to the forum and that's a beautiful Z!

Why go with a 40 series my personal preference is magnaflow all the sound when you want it without the droning of the flowmasters.

Thanks for the tip. I had a FM 40 series on other cars before and was pleased, but since this is really my wife's car, I would like to keep the noise at a decent level. My car drones like nobody's business with the exhaust I have on it. I would like the keep the Ford quiet, but add some flow and maybe a little growl. Is Magnaflow the way to go?
