Noob question about stock deck removal

Hi, new guy here. 2004 Explorer...I believe it's the base model 4 door 4wd. I just bought a head unit, but I cant seem to remove the stock unit. Any pointers?

I thought it'd be like my Honda's, where I can take a flathead and 'pop' the deck out. Thanks for the help.

You can buy the special tool at walmart for about $4. This is what they look like:

FYI:

Looks like the guidelines posted are a little off (for the 2004).

There are two bolts that must be accessed by pulling off the bezel around the radio/climate control.

That's it. Just FYI. :exp:
