Hey everybody,
I just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Viktor (everybody calls me Vik). I own a 2002 Silver Explorer XLT, a 1997 Dark Green Explorer XLT, and a 2003 Pike's Peak White Nissan 350Z Touring 6mt. I'm a big car enthusiast, and I spend lots of time on the 350Z forums, and after I was giving my silver Explorer its weekly wash and wax I realized how much I still love the car, and then thought there must be a Explorer forum. I don't know as much about the Explorers as I know about the 350Z (I know almost everything about the 350Z), but thats why I joined this board, to learn more about the Explorer.
I have had both Explorers since they came out of the factory. I have had my 2002 Explorer since September 1, 2001, and it only had 3.7 miles on it. I haven't had a single problem with it so far (knock on wood). I am extremely happy about how it has been serving me so far. I have put about 52K miles on it so far, and I haven't had to take it to service once (except for oil changes and annual inspection, and the inspections always turned out problem free). I even still have the original tires and brakes on it, and both are still in great condition (altough I will be changing the tires very soon). So, I really don't know why some people complain about the quality of Fords. My '02 Explorer still looks and feels like it did when I bought it (I love how smooth the ride is). I use my '97 explorer (which was bought with only 100 miles) on short trips and to get around town. It has 98K miles and has not given me any major problems (knock on wood) except for I had to change the belt due to wear, and I had to fix my a/c one time. I may just be lucky though.
About my 350z, I share that with my older bro. Our 350z is basically our race/project car. We have just installed a Greddy TwinTurbo, FMIC, JWT Clutch, JWT Flywheel, and many other mods to it. We love cars, and we are mod addicts
. The 350z is our weekend joy ride and we both put money into it and its mods, and we love taking it to the Track and competing in races, and driving the car like its meant to be.
Well, sorry about the lenghty intro, but I just wanted to give myself a proper introduction
