On my 1995 Explorer with the 6cyl.

I went to replace the IAC a while back and afteralmost 8 trips to various parts stores and returns.. No one can supply me with the correct one with the correct electrical connector on it.
the one I have is almost square and the one i am getting the connector has rounded corners..
so i took the part number off the old one and able to order it via ROCKAUTO.COM
and low and behold I just opened it today and would you believe it has the same wrong connector.. I guess it has to do with mine being a 1995???
anyway does anybody know where i can buy the connector for the IAC valve and i will solder the wires and do it that way, my last resort is a junkyard. but i am looking for a place to sell the actual connector that i can cut the existing one and slice the new one on.

thanks in advance...

Ford dealers can get almost any wiring connector pigtail, and they're not that expensive.

I will do that in the morning and post the connector that it has...

Does your IAC look like this? Sorry for poor quality pics.

I had the same problem. Most Part stores have two IAC valves listed for 95 and 96 X's. I finally had to take mine off and show it to the people to get the right one. Mine looks like the one pictured above. But the one I kept getting had the connector facing a different way.

no that is the plug that i keep getting...
the plug i have is square...
napa had the right one after 7 times they gave me the one with the correct plug but i installed it right in their lot and glad that i did because the connector fit but the metal cap which some are plastic was facing down and it would not let me install it
needless to say i gave up after that.. they had a whole page in the book which displayed al the different ones and all but one had the same connector which is the sae one you showed me but i need the other one...

for the connector or the whole part. I did but they had the same thing

here is what is it looking like

hope they come out good as it was very sunny today

are you saying i can go to ford and just get the wiring pigtail...
thanks for the reply

wow $28.00 at rock auto for that pigtail..
I will see if i can get a used one somewhere since Rock auto sent me the wrong part to begin with,

what makes no sense is it is the same exact part number from foord??

95's have diffrent conectors the MAS and DPFE are like that too. 95's might use first generation parts, not sure. When I thought my IAC was bad on my 96, I had a IAC off a 95 layin around but it wouldn't plug in. I took a razor blade heated it up and cut the plastic arount the 2 prongs off. That worked, but I wouldn't recomend it for a new part.

so it might be from a first gen??
