don't even know where to start this 99 explorer has been nothing but head aches from the start...
So if anyone could provide a little insight before i lose my mind that would be super cool.
First problem was was brakes .....
Replaced all rotors, pads, and calipers all at the same time shortly there after started having brake issues as air had gotten into HCU when calipers were replaced and was unaware that a special tool was required to bleed the brakes after any part was removed. This causing the HCU to burnout(?), in any event a new HCU was replaced and truck was towed to canadian tire to have brakes bleed with special tool. Canadian tire with their outstanding mechanics said they were unable to bleed the brakes as there was a abs code that required dealer only tool to clear, however in their inspection they noticed that a speed sensor was damaged so they claim. Now just to let you know i have the same scan tool they do and i never had any trouble code in reguards to anything indicating speed sensor or abs prior to it going there. Anyways to make long story relatively short they charged me $150.00 to to fix a speed sensor that wasn't broken and not do the original task that they were supose to. Now to add insult to injury since getting it back I now have DTC saying that I have speed sensor malfunction and if the key is on I can't shift out of park. Also the fuse for brake pedal pressure switch blows every time the brake is applied. Now the headlights have quit working altogether and the wipers do not work properly and try to engauge even when the switch is in the off position. You may be able to see how I might become frustrated now I would think. From my point of view it seems to me that the problem is electrical .... any ideas?????????
