Car has Safestop Anti theft system that was left connected to the ignition, but there are 3 wires for the constant 12V, brake and gunrack that were just cut, so the system doesn't work but it still controls the ignition(ignition doesn't work if not connected to safestop box). Started car like normal, reached down to move those 3 wires out of my leg space, car shuts off, zero power to ignition, no chimes, nothing. Overhead lights, horn, locks work so i have power just nothing happens went key inserted to ignition. I ran a 12v line from the battery to power the system(i think??. the light indicating its on illuminated) but still had no instrument panel or door/key chime. I called the company and was told if the system was activated it would just need the key reinserted for it to disarm and start the car. I feel like this is similar to my old Subaru immobilizer, if tripped nothing happens until its disarmed, but I cant seem to find anything for a 17 immobilizer. My next idea is to remove the system completely and reconnect the ignition wires but I don't know what that would fix considering the system doesn't even have power at the moment.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that when you moved the wires a short may have happened and blown a fuse?

So I checked the #34 run/start relay fuse on the passenger compartment box it was fine, is that the right one? Any others you'd recommend checking? Sorry I'm a noob at this.

In the 2017 PIU manual I pulled up, fuse #34 is for Blind Spot System Information and Rearview Camera. Fuse #29 is the Run Start relay.

After rechecking some diagrams, it was #18( Push button start switch. Ignition switch. Key inhibit )
and it was blown! Pulled the 5a for the rear climate control module popped her in and the ***** fired up. Thank you for your help. Just checked the wrong fuse I guess.

Gald you got it fixed. Now just check those wires to make sure they are insulated to avoid a possible repeat.
